Yangju City Wins Excellence Award from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for Implementing RiaaS

In 2024, we shared the news that Yangju City had introduced RiaaS (Road hazard information as a Service). Now, a year later, we have exciting news!
Yangju City has been recognized as an outstanding institution in the 2024 Local Government Innovation Evaluation, organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. The city received high marks for its use of RiaaS in establishing a "real-time road repair system through a road hazard information platform - RiaaS."

What is RiaaS, the system adopted by Yangju City?
RiaaS is an end-to-end service that detects, analyzes, and shares road hazards, including potholes, cracks, damaged road markings, and faulty lane delineators.
The collected road hazard data includes detailed information such as photos of the hazard, location data, detection time, and weather conditions. This information is provided via a dashboard, making it easy for the relevant departments to review and respond. The entire process, from detection to sharing, is carried out in real-time using AI-based data analysis.
As seen in Yangju City's case, the introduction of AI in road management—traditionally reliant on manual labor and human oversight—is now in full swing. Dareesoft is expanding its RiaaS service beyond Yangju City to various local governments, including Seoul, Suwon, Uijeongbu, Hwaseong, and Nam-gu in Gwangju, broadening the scope of road hazard detection.
